A new live-action series based on Xbox Game Studios' best-selling video game brand - a first-person shooter called "Halo" - will launch on Paramount Plus on March 24.
In a video released on Sunday, the production firm revealed the premiere date of the television show "Halo." The program follows Master Chief, played by Pablo Schreiber, on his travels in a period of conflict between the UNSC and an alien faction called as the Covenant.
Master Chief is a cybernetically modified super-soldier known as a Spartan, much as in the video game. Under the UNSC's directives, he protects mankind, although the narrative of the TV show is yet unknown.
Natascha McElhone will reprise her role as Dr. Catherine Halsey, the Spartan program's inventor, while Jen Taylor will reprise her role as AI Cortana from the "Halo" video game. Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Jesse Tyler Ridgway, Danny Sapani, and Bokeem Woodbine round out the major cast.
