The seventh and eighth installments of Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible franchise have been pushed back until 2023 and 2024, respectively. The two films have been further postponed because to the Covid-19 epidemic, according to a joint statement from Paramount Pictures and Skydance.
"In response to delays caused by the ongoing epidemic, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have agreed to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8," the studios announced.
The US release date for Mission: Impossible 7, in which Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, has been pushed back from September 30, 2022 to July 14, 2023. According to Variety, the release date for Mission: Impossible 8 has been pushed back from July 7, 2023, to June 28, 2024.
