THE GRAMMYS ARE BEING PUSHED BACK!
For the second year in a row, The Grammy Awards have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
According to a joint statement released on Wednesday by the Recording Academy and CBS, the 64th annual ceremony, which was intended for Jan. 31 in Los Angeles, will be rescheduled due to a statewide outbreak of the Omicron variant. The statement also said that the health and safety of those in the music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce the show remains their top priority.
Jon Batiste, the composer and musician, has received 11 Grammy nominations this year, the most of any artist, and will compete for album and record of the year. Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, and Doja Cat are among the other top nominations. There haven't been any acts announced yet.
