Tristan Thompson has just confirmed reports that he fathered a third child during a relationship with Maralee Nichols that seemingly took place while he was still dating Khloé Kardashian. The NBA star announced the news in a post on his Instagram story on January 3rd. He also used social media to apologize to his former girlfriend, Khloé Kardashian, who he was allegedly dating at the time of conception.

 "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," "I take full responsibility for my actions.” Tristan continued with a direct apology to Khloé, saying "Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the headache and humiliation I caused you. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

A source confirmed that Thompson and Kardashian were together in March last year, and finally called it quits in June after years of an on-again, off-again relationship.
