The release date of Fast & Furious 10 has been pushed back a month, to May 19, 2023. The eagerly awaited sequel to the popular action franchise was set to hit theaters on April 7, 2023, but producers and Universal Pictures appear to have changed their minds. The Easter release date was reportedly carved out back in 2015, following the success of F7, the series' highest-grossing title to date.

Fast & Furious 9, which debuted on May 19 this year and grossed $681.5 million worldwide, was one of the highest-grossing films released during the pandemic. The film has already grossed $726 million worldwide as of December 14, with James Bond blockbuster No Time to Die surpassing it with $771 million.

Fast & Furious 10 will likely face heavy competition in terms of cinema occupancy and ticket sales in May 2023, with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Vol. 3 (May 5) and Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid (May 26) both releasing in May.
