A collab between The Weeknd and Aaliyah could be on the way. According to a recent report from HITS Daily Double, Aaliyah's posthumous song starring the "Blinding Lights" singer will be released soon. "Poison," an unreleased track, was included in a list of songs given to Urban AC radio stations.

Aaliyah's upcoming collaborations album could have "Poison" as the lead single. Blackground Records founder Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah's uncle, had previously revealed intentions to release a posthumous record with new music from Drake, Future, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, and Timbaland.

On his 2011 mixtape House of Balloons, The Weeknd sampled Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" on "What You Need." As part of Blackground's new cooperation with indie distributor EMPIRE, Aaliyah's catalog was distributed on streaming services for the first time earlier this year.
