BILLIE EILISH REVEALS HOW NERVOUS SHE WAS TO HOST 'SNL,' AND HOW SHE 'CRIED EVERY SINGLE DAY' PRIOR TO THE SHOW!
Thursday, 16 December 2021
Billie Eilish has performed in front of sold-out venues, won Grammy, VMA, and Billboard Music Award nominations, and recorded the theme for the James Bond film No Time to Die. Taking the stage in her Mrs. Claus club attire for her monologue on Saturday Night Live this weekend, however, was the most nerve-wracking event of her life.
In the first sketch, Eilish, 19, who doubled as a musical guest and host, was as cool as a cucumber in a vat of hot sauce, ripping off gags about her family and ridiculing her own stylistic growth. But, as she revealed during a Zoom call with SiriusXM's Howard Stern on Monday morning (Dec. 13), she was not at all okay.
Finally, Eilish was able to calm herself and collect her confidence by remembering that the opportunity to host/perform on Saturday Night Live is an "insane" honor that she could not pass up.
