Prince Harry has slammed The Sunday Times for a "disappointing" and "deliberately" imprecise piece on a scandal involving Prince Charles' former adviser Michael Fawcett. After a series of publications about how the former footman to Queen Elizabeth allegedly tried to gain knighthood and British citizenship for Saudi billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz in exchange for charitable donations, Fawcett stepped down as chief executive of the Prince's Foundation.
An investigation revealed last week that the former close confidant of Charles worked with fixers for nominations and honors between 2014 and 2018, and The Sunday Times now claims that Mahfouz donated to the Duke of Sussex's Sentebale charity in 2013 in exchange for a meeting with Prince Harry himself.
