Blake Shelton is admitting why he didn't invite Adam Levine to his and Gwen Stefani's July wedding, joking that his former The Voice competitor and longtime buddy was left off the guest list due to a remark about their relationship. On the Dec. 6 broadcast of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the "God's Country" singer continued his back-and-forth with the Maroon 5 frontman.

"That interview he gave on your show is the reason we didn't invite him to the wedding," he told DeGeneres. It's as if I'm saying, 'I'm not inviting him.'" Levine's April appearance on Ellen, in which he said, "I don't endorse their marriage," was the interview Shelton was alluding to.She's very laid-back, whereas he's not." "I'll go to the wedding and object," the "She Will Be Loved" singer concluded with a smile. Now that I'm saying this on live television, I'm not sure whether I'll be invited, but I'll be there nonetheless."
