Elton John and Ed Sheeran have teamed up to give fans a new holiday song to add to their holiday playlists. The English musicians revealed Monday (Nov. 29) that their new song "Merry Christmas" will be released on Friday, after teasing the arrival of Christmas music. In addition, the duo announced in a joint Instagram post that all revenues from the song in the United Kingdom will be donated to the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation this holiday season.

Sheeran's greatest Love Actually impression is featured in the post, which borrows the famous sequence in which Andrew Lincoln's Mark secretly proclaims his love to Keira Knightley's Juliet with romantic cue cards. Sheeran is simply announcing his and John's "Merry Christmas" song this time. John already has a holiday success on his resume: "Step Into Christmas" topped Billboard's Christmas Singles chart in 1973, as well as the Official U.K. Singles Chart.
