SPOTIFY PLANNING TO OFFER VERTICAL FEED OF MUSIC VIDEOS TAKING ON TIK TOK!

Several apps, like Instagram and YouTube, have imitated the TikTok format with a vertical short video feed, and now Spotify has joined the list. Users can navigate through a vertical feed of music videos in the company's mobile app to locate something they like. Chris Messina (via TechCrunch) discovered the feature in the Spotify for iOS beta version, which is available on TestFlight. Users may access a new vertical video experience by swiping up or down on a new button in the app's tab bar, where they can watch short video clips.

In addition to scrolling, there are two buttons: one to like the song and another to learn more about it. Spotify, according to Messina, would use another existing function called Canvas, which allows artists to produce short movies of their songs. This innovation, however, does not appear to have been well received by many. Spotify declined to share any other information regarding the vertical music video stream, but it did say in a statement that it has been "exploring the idea of a vertical video feed," though that doesn't mean the feature will be available to everyone.
