ROLLS-ROYCE BUILDS THE WORLD'S QUICKEST ALL-ELECTRIC AIRCRAFT!
Rolls-Royce claims to have produced the "world's fastest all-electric aircraft," according to a statement released by the firm. The "Spirit of Innovation" aircraft reached a top speed of 387.4 mph (623 km/h) in flight, according to Rolls-Royce, making it "the world's fastest all-electric vehicle."
On November 16, the Spirit of Innovation set three world records in total, including a speed of 345.4 mph over 1.86 miles. The vehicle also set a new record for the fastest time to ascend 3000 meters, with a time of 202 seconds, according to the company. According to the release, the plane flew 300 mph over 9.32 miles at the UK Ministry of Defence's military aviation testing center in Wiltshire, breaking the previous record by 182 mph.
