Netflix's gaming push formally begins this week with the introduction of an upgrade to its Android app, following a region-limited tease earlier this year. Starting tomorrow, all Netflix users on Android will see a new row inside the standard video-streaming app titled "N Games" or "Games On Mobile." The games are only available on mobile phones and tablets.

You don't have to wait any longer if you don't want to—the games are now available.

Today's news verifies what we previously knew following the debut of a test version in Poland in late August. Rather than being broadcast from Netflix's cloud servers, Netflix Games are downloaded to your Android device.

Netflix Games now has three arcade-style tap-action games, in addition to a couple of smartphone-friendly games based on the Stranger Things series. These titles, like the licensed games, were all previously available on smartphone app stores. The games have been upgraded to work without any upfront charges or hidden microtransactions now that they're part of Netflix Games.
