WhatsApp will stop working on a lot of devices as of November 1 owing to outdated operating systems.

The app will no longer support certain platforms, and future updates will be unavailable to them.

53 models of phones from brands including Apple, LG , Samsung, Huawei, ZTE V956 and more.

"WhatsApp will cease support for phones with Android 4.0.4 or earlier as of November 1, 2021," according to the app's providers.

"Before that date, we recommend switching to a suitable device or preserving your conversation history”

You can continue to use the app without accepting the new policies until November 6. WhatsApp is yet to confirm whether other models of phones would be added to the list.
