Katy Perry filled in as a host on one day of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and used the opportunity to showcase her talent at stand-up comedy! She cracked jokes when she compared her life as a pop star to her life as a new mom to her daughter Daisy Dove, whom she shares with Orlando Bloom. She stated that she was “so, so proud” to be a mom, but at the same time, she realized that while her life has changed drastically, it has also stayed the same in many different ways.

She elaborated on this and explained that motherhood is an “experience unlike any other.” She explained that being a mom is different, but she realized that it is quite similar to being a pop star.

Perry has opened up about what it’s like raising her daughter before, and revealed that “she thinks everything is a cat.” She explained that she greets everyone as if they were a cat, and admitted that she didn’t know why her daughter was so fascinated with cats, especially since Katy’s fans call themselves Katy Cats.
