Lil Nas X is not afraid to be his authentic self and recently announced that his album Montero will be released on the 17th of September. Knowing Nas, he did so unconventionally and creatively, announcing with an ethereal pregnancy photo shoot – along with the fake belly too!

He shared some of the images on social media, and tweeted, “SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy “MONTERP” is due September 17, 2021.”

Nas revealed that he found inspiration for the photos from Meghan Thee Stallion’s version on his song “Dolla Sign Slime.” He explained that he thought it was “amazing,” and called his stylist, who said the idea makes sense, and therefore he should do a pregnancy shoot.
