In the ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the Pirates of the Caribbean star scored another well-deserved courtroom victory. Previously, Heard had requested to dismiss Depp’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against her, but the judge ruled against her.

Heard had pleaded for the suit to be dismissed, but the judge disagreed, stating that there were noticeable differences between the evidence for each case.

This is a big win for Depp, who previously had another ruling in his favor, where Heard promised to donate $7 million as their divorce settlement to the America Civil Liberties Union. Depp, however, sensed that Heard may have not made the donation, and together with his legal team, filed paperwork to try and force ACLU to confirm whether they received the funds. They succeeded, and a judge ruled that ACLU must show proof regarding whether or not Heard donated the money, and so far they could only confirm that about $450,000 of the total amount was received in donations.
