Back in June 2020, Kelly Clarkson announced her split from her now estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock. Although the news was announced last year, the legal battle has only just begun.

Brandon reportedly  demanded  that Kelly paid him a total of $436,000 a month in spousal support, but the court brought the amount down to almost $200,000 a month. Brandon’s  reasoning for demanding such a huge amount was that she earned more than him, even though he also earned enough to provide for himself and their children on his own.

However, Clarkson did score a win. She will now have to pay Blackstock the amount of money agreed on spousal and child support, but Blackstock will be required to pay for everything when it comes to their residence in Montana. The couple bought a ranch in Montana, but now since it is Blackstock’s primary residence, he will have to cover all expenses for it, which amount to around $81,000 per month, which involves taxes, mortgage and insurance.
