Last year, Kelly Clarkson filed to divorce her husband, Brandon Blackstock, to whom she had been married for seven years. Everyone was shocked, and things did not end well for the two. 

The two have been at court over the past year, to get custody over their children and to settle child and spouse support.

Initially, Blackstock demanded that Kelly pay him $436,000 a month in support - $301,000 as spousal support and $135,000 as child support. He also demanded that, since Kelly was being paid more than him, that she must pay for all his legal fees. The court listened and finally came to their verdict.

Kelly is to pay $150,000 a month to Brandon as spousal support, and $45,601 per month as child support. Although it is less than half of what Brandon initially demanded, it is $200,000 per month in support payments, meaning $2.4 million in payments per year!

Kelly was also ordered to pay $1.25 million to Brandon in attorney’s fees and additional costs that he incurred during the financial battle.
