Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave birth to their second child, daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on Friday, 4th of June. Over a month later, it has been confirmed that Lilibet has been officially added to the line of succession. She has been placed 8th in line to the throne, below her father and her brother Archie. 

Since Harry and Meghan “left” the royal family, Archie and Lilibet have not been given official titles, and instead are being listed as “Master” and “Miss” respectively. However, when Prince Charles ascends the throne, Archie and Lili may automatically get the HRH titles, since according to a Patent issued in 1917 by King George V, they would be the grandchildren of the reigning monarch.
