In light of the Tokyo Olympics taking place this year, the Jonas Brothers got inspired to have their own little Olympics – the Olympic Dreams special, which aired on the 21st of July on NBC. The program contained Olympic-level challenges, for the brothers to decide which one was the best. The special showed the brothers try to outdo each other, to try to aim a spot on the U.S. Olympic team – or at least try their best to. They even included a few historic Olympians for their training, including world record holder and hurdler Sydney Mclaughlin, gold medal-winning gymnasts Laurie Hernandez and Nastia Liukin, four-time gold medallist, and track star Sanya Richards-Ross and silver medallist and BMX racer Alise Willoughby.

While doing their games, however, disaster struck when Nick was riding his bike when it spun out of control, causing him to crash to the ground. The crash even caused Joe and Kevin to tumble over him, as they were unable to avoid him in time. Nick was in a lot of pain, and they eventually called an ambulance for him to get checked up. Nick suffered a fractured rib and a bruised tailbone, but he says he is recovering.
