Kylie Jenner recently announced that her cosmetics brand Kylie Cosmetics will be going through a huge re-launch, featuring “elevated” formulas and new packaging. Although fans are excited about it, critics are convinced that she is trying to use the re-launch to draw attention away from a growing scandal involved in the production process of Kylie Cosmetics.

According to reports, the workers who produce the cosmetics in the factory were forced to work hard in deplorable conditions. Employees even stated that they never felt more degraded than when Kylie came by to visit the plant.

32-year-old factory worker Irene Lopez stated, “Before they would come in our supervisors would tell us, ‘You are not allowed to talk with kylie, You guys are supposed to keep on working, you guys are not allowed to take any pictures or ask any questions.”

She further explained that they were not allowed to speak in Kylie’s presence, or even make eye contact with her. “They wouldn’t talk to us, they never talked to me, they would talk to the leads and just walk around and look at everything,” Lopez continued. 

We can only hope that Kylie will change her business practices, and even lead the way for a new generation of ethical billionaires.
