Halsey, who’s currently pregnant with her first child, revealed that her new powerful album cover will explore the “joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth.” She revealed the news with a post on Instagram, captioned “It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months.”

“We have a long way to go with eradicating the social stigma around bodies & breastfeeding”, she says. Halsey also states she hopes that this album, which comes out on the 27th of August, “can be a step in the right direction!”

The pictures for the album artwork were taken at several beautiful places, including a video that was shot at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
