Ryan Reynolds recently revealed a set image of Will Ferrell and himself over a Twitter post, showing their progress with their latest project, a comic musical. The two comedians have had a healthy profile as of late, following their recent films and especially Reynolds work as the “Merc with a Mouth”, Wade Wilson in Deadpool. 

The two mega-stars are currently filming Spirited, a musical comedy taking place at Christmas. The movie was first announced in 2019 as a re-telling of a classic Charles Dickens’ seasonal tale, A Christmas Carol. Although the story may be familiar to viewers, the team behind the project guarantees the upcoming musical version is something out of the ordinary. 

With filming underway, Reynolds took to his popular Twitter account to tease fans on what to expect with the movie. He posted, “Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell.”

There is yet to be a confirmed release date for the musical comedy but fans speculate it would premiere in mid-2022.
