The highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has officially gotten a map! Its predecessor, GTA V was well received and is still widely popular among gamers and fans. Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto Online soon after the launch which managed to captivate audiences and gaming enthusiasts around the world. 

Despite the ever-changing game-mods and its varying online missions that kept players interested, fans of the game still craved a continuation to the series. The much-awaited response came when leaks dating back to April 2020 confirmed the development of a new video game.

Whilst GTA V was set in an expanded version of the city of San Andreas, a location that was introduced in the early stages of the game series (GTA: San Andreas). The new installment will revisit Vice City, based on GTA: Vice City. The reveal is that the map was reported to “evolve” as the game progresses and will have similar ever-changing qualities to that of Epic Games’ Fortnite. 

Currently, the project is speculated to be released by 2024 or 2025. Only time will tell if these rumors prove to be true.
