The Scream franchise continues to thrive! Having first spawned in 1996, pop culture enthusiasts were delighted to learn that a new installment of the movie series was being produced. 

The upcoming film is set to bring back former cast members Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Neve Cambell with the project being handled by a directorial duo, Tyler Gillett and Matt Mettinelli-Olpin who have worked together on horror films in the past, Ready Or Not(2019) being one of them. With production wrapping up on set, Gillet took to Instagram and revealed himself in an editing studio with the caption: “Picture locked. I promise it’ll be worth the wait #SCREAM”, assuring fans that the best is yet to come. 

Courtney Cox also spoke about the motion picture, adding that the new chapter in the Scream series is neither a reboot nor a remake but simply a brand new launch! 

The film is scheduled for launch in theatres on 14th January 2022.
