Fans of Pirates of the Caribbean and Jack Sparrow, a character made famous by Johnny Depp will be able to see the return of the beloved character, but not how they expect. During Microsoft’s E3 showcase, an annual video game trade event that took place on Sunday, the developer Rare announced that they officially partnered with Disney to create an expansion called A Pirate’s Life in the video game Sea of Thieves, and executive producer Joe Neate says it will be “the ultimate pirate crossover.”

The expansion will be a free update which will be in the multiplayer game from June 22^nd onwards.

According to Neate, the update is a secret they’ve been keeping since E3 2019, which was when Rare first brought their idea to Disney. It soon became very clear how the two components would be a natural fit, and since then they have been developing the game.
