The new Jurassic World 3 has a prologue set in the Cretaceous period and will introduce 7 new dinosaurs to the movie. Fans can get their first look at the new movie very soon, as Universal Studios will debut a “special extended preview of the film” exclusive to IMAX theaters, which is also attached to the upcoming film Fast and Furious 9! Since the new movie is set in the Cretaceous period, the movie will portray dinosaurs during their actual time of existence. 

The movie, which is a sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, is currently set to release almost exactly a year from now, on the 10th of June, 2022. But the newly released video is more than just a preview – the 5-minute scene will include a prologue to the narrative of the film and is set 65 million years ago when dinosaurs roamed the Earth freely. The scene will show the origin story of how dinosaur DNA first came to be carried by a mythic mosquito – the start of it all.
