Ten months ago, Liam Payne and Maya Henry announced that they were engaged and now, fast forward to June of 2021, Liam Payne came out with a statement on the show Good Morning America that confirmed that the couple has broken up their engagement!

Liam Payne asserted that things didn’t quite work out between him and as cliché as it sounds, it was a “its not you, its me” sort of situation. It all comes down to the fact that he hasn’t been very good at relationships recently and he even agreed that he was extremely disappointed in himself as he keeps hurting people because of it.

He further went on to say that it’s the best decision for right now and he feels better now that he’s out of the relationship but not in a bad way – just because it feels like its best for the both of them.

Payne who is one out of the five members of the former band one direction, publicized his relationship with Maya Henry in 2019 and got engaged in August of 2020 however, Henry had not publicly commented about it.
