Actor, writer producer and director Issa Rae has joined the voice cast of the sequel of Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse as Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman. She will be working alongside Shameik Moore who plays Spider-Man, and Hailee Steinfeld who plays Spider-Gwen.

The feature will be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, with producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller also credited as writers on the screenplay, along with David Callaham.

The film is scheduled to release on 7^th October 2022 in the United States, which is delayed from the initial April 2022 date due to the pandemic.
