The launch of Marvel’s ‘Phase Four’ has quite the ambitious line-up of projects set up for the coming years, including a sequel to the 2016 solo film, ‘Doctor Strange’ which starred Benedict Cumberbatch playing the master of the mystic arts. The long-awaited sequel has a stellar cast already in hand, including Cumberbatch reprising his role as Strange, Benedict Wong and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.

The production is helmed by Sam Raimi. When the project was initially announced sources began surfacing around the internet that an old-school villain, Shamu-Gorath, will be making an appearance in the movie. Recently, rumours began to circle that he might be the main villain in the film going forward. Shamu-Gorath was a nemesis that first appeared in a Doctor Strange issue in 1972.
