Everyone's been thrilled after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier announced the new Captain America to the world. But no one is as thrilled as the new Captain America himself, Anthony Mackie!

Mackie joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2014 as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Throughout the next few movies he continued to support Steve Rogers, (Chris Evans) but it wasn’t until Steve took his final bow as Captain America and handed the shield to Sam in Avengers: Endgame, where Sam realizes what responsibility was being given to him.

 Recently Mackie spoke out when asked how he wanted to celebrate, he replied playfully saying that he wants a proper New Orleans celebration. “It’s funny, ‘cause in New Orleans, we have a parade for everything. I want a parade.” He said. Although it is unknown whether this will happen, Mackie did admit that he got a cake on set.
