'Crazy Rich Asian' star Henry Golding was confirmed as the legendary katana-wielding ninja warrior from our childhood earlier this week!

A trailer released on Sunday during the MTV Movie and TV Awards gave fans a first look at the iconic G.I. Joe commando 'Snake Eyes'. The film will be an original spinoff following his journey as he is welcomed into a Japanese clan, prior to earning his iconic title and costume.

The project will be directed by Robert Schwentke, known for his work on the 'Divergent' franchise, and has a release date set for July 23.
