It’s no news that the Golden Globes ceremony and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are under fire. Recently, the organization has faced extreme criticism from viewers and celebrities alike, protesting that the demographics of the voting body include no one of color among other issues.

Many major production studios as well as stars like Scarlett Johansson have publicly denounced them. This ultimately resulted in NBC canceling the broadcast of the 2022 edition of the Golden Globes.

As a bold act to reject any praise and to separate himself from the HFPA, ‘Jack Reacher’ himself, Tom Cruise, had proclaimed that he will be returning the three Globe awards he received throughout his massive career back to the organization.
