Elon Musk’s brain child Tesla is taking the world by storm, with over 185,000 cars being sold – which is more than Tesla has produced in around three whole months in just the initial quarter of 2021!

CEO of Tesla Elon Musk had a goal of delivering 500,000 cars in 2020 so these numbers exhibit that they’ve barely missed the target.

The most popular car delivered by Tesla in 2021 was the Model 3 and Model Y cars as they sold close to 183,000 of them which is more than the 180,000 of the model 3 and Model Y cars even produced in the first quarter. In addition to that, the other 2,020 cars delivered were the Model S cars which had recently been produced in former quarters.

Tesla also came out with new redesigns of the model S and model X back in January 2021, it included new powertrains, higher range options and even the landscape in-car display which you can find in the model 3! The redesigns were without a doubt very well received and currently Tesla is looking to increase production on the two new models given the results they’ve received in the first quarter. 

Even though Tesla and Elon Musk did not hit the goal target for 2020 which was the delivery of 500,000 cars and instead managed only 88,400 cars but, looking at the numbers now, it looks like they’re on the right path and only going higher from here.
