Sometimes you just don’t want any of the darkness or even the terrifying ghosts in your gameplay but you also don’t want to switch to playing games made for toddlers because you love puzzles and desserts so much. But don’t you worry - a toned down version of Swedish studio frictional’s Amnesia: Rebirth has officially been added to the GOG steam and the epic store!

The new adventure mode comes for amnesia : rebirth which launched last year and was a sequel to the incredibly spine chilling introductory game amnesia: the dark descent. In the new mode, you will not see in the dark anymore and won’t have to rating match sticks just to see what’s going on and in addition to that, they’ve added more light, literally and figuratively. So now, your game doesn’t seem as scary.

Frictional also eliminated all encounters with monsters and also the special effects that end up deteriorating the protagonist Tasi’s entire mental state. Furthermore, if you loved the puzzles in the game, the new adventure mode gives you more puzzles! This means you’re essentially not sneaking around as much but it allows you to experience more of the classic adventure game.
