Reports state that Samsung is contributing its 7-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen to Nintendo for a new Switch gaming console and production is expected to begin as early as June.

Reports say that Samsung Display Co. is likely to start mass production of its OLED panels for a new Nintendo Switch model consisting of a superior screen than its current Switch display (6.2-inch with 16:9 and 720p resolution).

While it is being rumoured that the console will have an HD or 720p quality but not 1080p, the reason might be because Nintendo wants to effectively reduce the heating up of its device to make up for higher resolution.
