Super Mario 3D world is one of the most underrated entries of the myriad of 3D Mario platforms but with the cornucopia of imaginative levels, brand new power-up items and especially the multiplayer mechanics has a lot of potential given the chance that is, to flaunt it.
Apart from cat Mario, in Super Mario 3D world, one of the many brand new power- ups are these cherries that enable players to clone themselves. That’s cool and all but what’s cooler is that there’s actually this little trick that everyone who knows about has probably stumbled upon by accident, that allows you to pretty much steal your opponents clone if you ground-pound one of their clones.
Needless to say, there are many details in Super Mario 3D World that are actually hidden that a lot of players don’t even know about unless they run over it by mistake. It is actually quite ingenious if you think about it, owing to the fact that the nature of the game is so simplistic in terms of the controls.
When talking about featuring local co-ops - New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the first to do it and its since been transferred to games such as New Super Mario Bros. U. Even though this has been done, Super Mario 3D world has taken it a notch further and added a new layer to the gameplay which means it now isn’t just about garnering a high score but about competing against other players to get said ‘high score’. Thus, a whole load of gameplay features were put in to mirror this.
