The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was actually supposed to be the first MCU series to premiere on Disney+ which was originally planned for August of last year, but production delays caused by the pandemic forced Marvel to push it back.

Now, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on March 19, two weeks after WandaVision wraps up its run.

That film left off with Steve Rogers passing off the Captain America shield to Sam, and many expected The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to focus on his transition into the role. However, Sam will face some pushback from the United States government, and Mackie recently hinted he might not actually become Captain America by the end.
