In a blog post released today, Activision confirmed that it has blocked more than 60,000 accounts for cheating in a single-wave. The record also states that more than 300,000 fraudsters have been banned since Warzone was launched.

According to Wise, Activision, which has spoken with a number of sources familiar with the situation, released a wave of bans on more than 60,000 accounts using scams in Warzone. The publisher has not yet confirmed it, but customers of a cheat distributor claim their accounts will be permanently blocked.

"Anyone that used EngineOwning since the last "banwave" was wiped out,"one source told Vice. EngineOwning start-up was also at the center of Warzone’s last major hurdle wave, which in September 2020 expelled more than 20,000 accounts. Since then we haven’t heard much about the title from developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software.

It has been clear for a long time now that Warzone has a major cheating problem. Whether you are a regular player or a high-level streamer, it is not uncommon to run into players running third-party iPods and Wallhack software. Right now, you can’t roll Warzone’s official subtitle, without watching the numerous clips that deceive the players the way to victory.
