50 Cent took a step back to the days when he first emerged on the music scene and sported braids as his promoted his new novel Playground.

The rapper had been forced to sport a fuzzy afro in recent months as he had to grow out his hair for a movie role, but he has now decided to make a return to his much-loved braids. Fiddy appeared on the Today show to talk about his childrens novel Playground in which he addressed bullying.

"Because my son is 15-years-old, [bullying is] a relevant issue for me," he said. "I wrote it because I want to do something about it. I can look back on those actual situations and say that was completely wrong. But I know what was motivating it now."

Speaking about what pushed him to turn his back on a life of crime, Fiddy admitted: "My son, he's my motivation. When he was born, I had to change everything."
