Saweetie makes her professional TV debut this month by starring as bossy rapper Indigo in the Yara Shahidi fronted Freeform sitcom Grown-ish.

The show will officially return to the network on January 21st. Shahidi’s character Zoey Johnson has officially dropped out of college, becoming a full-time celebrity stylist for rapper Joey, who plays himself as a recurring guest star on the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the teaser clip shows Johnson working for his protégé Indigo starring Joey and Saweetie on a set of music videos in Miami.

ABC's Black-ish spin-off, Grown-ish focuses on Shahidi's travels throughout college and old age and is the perfect place for Saweetie to start her official acting career.
