So your PC gets some time on the tooth - or you're dedicated to squeezing every possible frame for a second: by any means, you love Fortnite, but you want it to run a little better.

If you find the boat, the new "performance mode" that will start the alpha test tomorrow may be a thing.

The new mode is available in Battle Royale and Creative modes, with Fortnite's settings being selectable via the menu and can be turned on and off at any time, although the game must be restarted each time the changes take effect.  

It promises to increase frame rates and reduce load times, and also gives players the opportunity to avoid having to use high-resolution systems through the Epic Launcher installation menu, reducing the size of the installation by more than 14GB of hard drive space.
