Among us is a game about making a token attempt to find out who is killing your friends and getting the wrong person off the plane. It's light, fun, and a lot of fun, and since it's a video game, there are definitely cheats.
Developer Innersloth said in October it was working on an accounting system for the game to help reduce that kind of behavior, and in an update released yesterday, they expressed confidence that they would be ready to go in December.
"This will allow players to report toxic and / or hacking accounts," the studio said. "They may be a bit bare-bones at first, but things like friends lists will come on a date after they start."
The studio said it did not rush into any new attempts to combat the fraud because it did last time and did not go as planned.
Other major updates in the works, more translations and localizations, improved colorization support, and a bigger, new map with new tasks to complete while waiting for you to kill.
