THE LORD OF THE RINGS: ADVENTURE CARD GAME GETS AN UPDATE

After the closure of Fantasy Flight Interactive earlier this year, their only release - Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game may have been thought by more than a few to be dead in the water. Not so. Publisher Asmodee Digital announced earlier this year that digital mercenaries would be in charge of Antihero Studios, which Antihero has been the most communicative of ever since, according to fans. This week's the first major update to the game since last fall.
AntiHero's first update, Mid-Mission Restart adds major life changes such as mechanical and fully functional offline play mode. The offline play has been a feature of the community since before the original game was launched. They have redesigned the game's menu UI to suit the direction of future development. They also plan to release UI updates, a new adventure mode, and a new free adventure package called "The Fords of Isen" in early 2021.
Despite its very long name, I really liked LotR: ACG in the release. Although I was cautious about monetizing, I appreciated its production values and excellent writing. Monetization is now completely different, with studio closures and the change of studios.
