NASA AND 8 NATIONS SIGN ARTEMIS ACCORDS FOR MOON EXPLORATION

NASA and eight other nations have signed a space exploration agreement called “The Artemis Accords” which was signed on Tuesday (October 13th). This agreement was signed by space agencies of the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, and UAE which targets at developing a safe, prosperous, and peaceful future in space.
The Artemis program will see NASA send the next man and first woman to explore the moon by 2024.
"Artemis will be the most diverse and greatest international human space exploration program in the history of mankind, and the Artemis Accords are the vehicle that will establish this singular global coalition," said Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator.
Announced back in May, the Artemis Accords will allow a legal frame for exploring the moon, Mars, comets, and asteroids, and will include registering space objects, scientific data, and "preserving outer space heritage." The space agencies have also agreed that transparency, exploration, providing emergency support to those in need, and "prevent harming interference" will be in the best interest of the nations involved.
