ROBLOX HAS BIG PLANS FOR VIRTUAL MUSIC EVENTS

Recently, more than a million people appeared for the album launch party within the virtual confines of Roblox.
Singer/songwriter Ava Max had a “virtual fan meetup” in-game to commemorate the launch of her latest album Heaven & Hell. It was rather simple, with Max appearing on the giant screen in front of a colorful dance floor floating in the sky and discussed what inspired her to create this new album. Later on, she sang a couple of songs while users were just running around during a concert-like setting.
Although it may have seemed pretty simp, more than 1.15 million players appeared for the event! The popularity of virtual spaces and music events has been on the rise over the years, however, due to the pandemic the general popularity of such space has exponentially grown.
Since live, in-person events have been mostly canceled or postponed around the world, artists have been looking for alternative ways to connect with fans. Roblox could provide the answer to this arising problem. Although Roblox is still small in scale compared to its rival Fortnite and TikTok.
