World of Warcraft: Blizzard announced today that Shadow Lands will not make its October 27 release date. The developer still plans to release the expansion by the end of 2020, but there is no new release date to announce yet.

According to WoW executive producer John Hyde, the delay will allow for "extra polishing," balancing and time to work on the endcom, which was partly a challenge because the shadows were "one of the most complex extensions" in Wow's history, and partly as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic from the developers' home Had to work.
