YARA SHAHIDI CAST AS TINKER BELL IN "PETER PAN" MOVIE!

Yara Shahidi will be sporting some new wings!
The 20-year-old "Grown-ish" actress is supposedly cast as Tinker Bell in the upcoming live-action Peter Pan & Wendy movie according to Deadline.
Yara will join hands with the cast of the new Peter Pan movie. Additionally, the movie will cast Jude Law as Captain Hook, and for the titular characters, Alexander Molony will be Peter Pan and Ever Anderson will star as Wendy.
The casting of Yara in a traditionally white person role is pretty noteworthy. She will be joining her "Grown-ish" co-star and actress Halle Bailey who will be cast as Ariel in the movie "The Little Mermaid" which was originally played by white actors/actresses.
Also, reportedly, Yara had stated that she signed an overall deal with ABC last month, and formed a production company alongside her mom under that deal.
