RESIDENT EVIL ANIMATED SERIES WILL BE HITTING NETFLIX SOON!

Resident evil will be receiving a brand new animated series that will be released on Netflix in 2021. On Sunday, Capcom and Netflix joined hands and said in a statement to the during the Tokyo Game Show that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which will focus mainly on the protagonists of the show, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Red field.
As announced by Capcom, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be an original CG anime series which will give off a horror-action feel. Capcom further said in its official description that, they will be incorporating suspense into the fast-paced action scenes which reveal a never before seen Resident Evil.
The new series will be produced and supervised by Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi, a long-standing producer for the Resident Evil Franchise.
TMS Entertainment will also be involved in the production of the series, while Quebico will be involved in the 3D CG animation production aspect of the show.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is just one of two Resident Evil projects in the works at Netflix. The other will be a live-action adaption which will mainly focus on Jade Wesker and Billie Wesker. It can be assumed that the relations of STARS captain, Umbrella Corporation goon, and Resident Evil antagonist Albert Wesker will also be delved into.
Additionally, Capcom will be releasing its brand new video game known as Resident Evil Village which will be out for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in 2021.
